Zero Carbon Bristol

Zero Carbon Bristol is an initiative that's grown directly out of Bristol's vision to become a leading Green Capital. Bristol finished 7th in the European Green Capital competition in 2008, and was the UK's only shortlisted finalist.

The project is sponsored by Connolly and Callaghan.

Bristol's Green Capital Momentum Group published a Peak Oil Report in April 2009, and Bristol City Council responded by committing to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 40% by 2020.

Zero Carbon Bristol is an informal group putting on events to explore the next logical step...

At the conference on June 29th 2010, they looked at what we're going to do to follow up and by all accounts, the conference was a great success.

They're planning roughly two conferences per year, so keep on eye on their website for information.
